The evening of the next day he goes to the hospital and encounters a child in a coma who knows the Quran by heart. His conversation with the head nurse at the hospital indicates of a past love affair between the two. In the Doctor’s office his secretary is a woman named Jaleh who in the past had a long relationship with the doctor and once went through an abortion that led to her becoming infertile.
Doctor visits his father in the nursing home. Father complains about life in the nursing home and asks his son to take him back to his home but Dr. Sepidbakht opens up and talks about his childhood psychological wounds and refuses to take his father home. At all times a white car follows doctor everywhere. After Doctor arrives in his office he discusses the issue with Jaleh. After leaving the office Jaleh makes a phone call that shows she is in contact with whomever follows Doctor.
Mani, Doctor’s son has come to Iran after 15 years and Doctor goes to the airport to receive him but he finds out his son has been arrested for carrying drugs. Doctor admits his son to the drug rehabilitation clinic but Mani escapes. Try as he may, Doctor fails to find him.
At the hospital Doctor goes to the room where the child who knows the Quran by heart is staying. The child asks Doctor to take him. Doctor takes the child to his house. Around midnight those who followed Doctor come to his house and murder him by knife strokes and leave. The child and dead Doctor remain alone together.
