PRINCE EHTEJAB
Khosrow, the last remaining heir to the Qajar royal family suffers from hereditary tuberculosis and constantly coughs. Amidst the repeated coughing he recalls the violent acts of his family. Khosrow or Shazdeh (Prince) constantly aims to redeem himself from this violence and does not want to become engaged in bloodshed like his family did but inadvertently, he finds himself in violent situations time and again. After the death of his beautiful wife Fakhr al-Nesa, Shazdeh forces his maid Fakhri to play the role of his wife and remain a servant to him. Murad, his old steward who is now on a wheelchair unable to walk, visits Shazdeh every day and gives him news of a new death. On the last night Murad comes to Shazdehâs door and it seems he has brought him the news of the death of Shazdeh himself.
